Trading of shares listed on the SME platform of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) commenced on September 30. This will open up an opportunity for many small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across Bangladesh to raise capital from the stock market. Trading has begun in the shares of six SMEs after two and a half years of the DSE-SME platform’s inauguration on April 30, 2019. The six companies that started trading their shares are Oryza Agro Industries, Master Feed Agrotec, Apex Weaving and Finishing Mills, Himadri Ltd, Bengal Biscuits, and Wonderland Toys Ltd.
