Karuna is a Senior Vice President and Head of Finance at our Triterras’ Headquarters in Dubai, UAE.
Having worked in public, private and joint sectors across diverse industries such as in Textile, Oil & Gas, Steel, Manufacturing and Trading, Karuna has decades of experience in strategic finance functions, comprising of group finances, internal controls, implementation of ERP (SAP), treasury management, capital raising, risk management and others.
Prior to joining Triterras, Karuna served as the Global Head of Accounting at Lemarc Agromond Group, an international agriculture and food company where he was responsible for the Group’s accounts, audits, raising capital and post-acquisition integration processes, ensuring compliant business practices and operational efficiencies.
Karuna had also worked as the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Brahmani River Pellets Ltd, a Stemcor company in India and was also the Head of Banking & Treasury in Global Steel Holdings, a UK-based organization with integrated steel plants and mining operations in Nigeria.
Karuna is a Commerce graduate, and a certified Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) and an Associate Company Secretary (ACS).
