Vietnam govt to support 30,000 SMEs in digital transformation process

Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Technology (MIC) will support 30,000 SMEs this year in their digital transformation process by using selected digital platforms to optimize operations. MIC will also work with the localities of all 63 provinces and cities to form a consultation network for the digital economy and a network of community digital technology groups at the commune or ward level to help each citizen. Furthermore, SMEs will also get financial aid from this year’s state budget for their digital transformation. If the SMEs choose digital platforms or solutions certified by MIC, they will be given financial assistance worth 50 percent of the renting or purchase fee.
