India launches forum to support digital transformation and growth of MSMEs

To support the digitization and growth of MSMEs across India, Union MSME Minister Narayan Rane launched the Forum for Internet Retailers, Sellers, and Traders (FIRST) at an event in New Delhi. The forum will help small retailers adopt digital transformation and grow their businesses by educating and assisting them about the available opportunities to go digital. Meanwhile, over 17,200 small enterprises selling goods and services across retail, trade, and commerce sectors in various states have registered with the forum. Dr Aruna Sharma, Secretary General of FIRST, said the forum would also help foster the growth of MSMEs by acting as advocates among government representatives and policymakers.
