Assistant Accountant (1 Year Contract)

  • Responsible for accurately processing all invoices relating to the Company(s) and ensuring that invoices are properly approved, correctly coded and promptly recorded in the accounting system
  • Handle full set of books on subsidiary books including managing the audit, tax, secretarial and all banking matters
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including bank reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of GST
  • Process staff claims
  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statement and Balance Sheet schedules
  • Any other ad hoc duties as assigned
Experience Level
  • Diploma or degree in Accountancy from a reputable institution
  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably from an established Company
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Effective time management and workload planning a pre-requisite
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical mind and a good team player
